Man O' War Estate Sauvignon Blanc

Our 2023 Estate Sauvignon Blanc is a classically styled, wonderfully fresh aromatic wine. With clean right aromas of snow pea and freshly chopped herbs the palate has citrus and elderflower characters, finishing with a refreshing crisp mineral purity. A fresh breezy wine that displays beautiful balance with a mineral delicacy, perfect for summer drinking.

Man O' War Estate Pinot Gris

The 2023 edition of the Estate Pinot Gris continues to be ‘off dry’ in style with natural residual sugar balanced with acidity and fruit tannin. The wine displays fresh pear, citrus and white pepper aromas with floral hints of jasmine and gardenia. The palate is lively with a zest of lime and a crunch of Braeburn apple with the wine finishing long delicate and fresh.

Man O' War Exiled Pinot Gris

Exiled 2023 has a lift of spice on the nose with citrus, pear and apple combining to create a complex fruitful aroma. The palate is zesty and fresh with a firm grip of tannin complementing the ‘off dry’ style and the acidity. The Estate Chardonnay exhibits intense ripe stone fruit characters with subtle hints of passionfruit seed and a nutty lees influence.

Man O' War Estate Island Blend

Our Island Blend is a Bordeaux style wine - a blend of fruit from both Waiheke Island and its neighbouring Ponui Island.

Rich and warm with plenty of body and juicy fruit. Made from some of the most remote vineyards in New Zealand (possibly the world…) the 2022 Island Blend is a stunning wine full of sweet red and black fruits with soft ripe tannin.

Man O' War Ironclad Bordeaux Blend

The 2020 Ironclad is classically aromatic with cassis and dark berry fruits, lifted floral and spice with a nice earthy note. The palate is concentrated with clear ripeness framed by robust tannins with a beautiful fresh vibrancy. Ironclad 2020 comes from an exceptional vintage and is clearly a wine with enormous potential.

Man O' War Dreadnought Syrah

Classic Dreadnought, smoky peat, earthy crushed rock overlaid with blueberry, dark berry, and dried herbs. The palate is athletic with a ripped middleweight physique, an artful display of power and control. The fruit is ripe, coating the core of tannin and acidity, which is supported by a sinew of stem inclusion further balanced by a high-quality framework of oak.

2020 Dreadnought continues its run as a unique Syrah from an excellent vintage.

Man O' War Hellburner Fortified Wine

Fortified wines have a huge aromatic lift, the Hellburner being no exception with lashings of dark fruit and a very appropriate lift of shot firecrackers. The palate is vibrant and vivacious with generous sweetness framed by robust tannins and a fresh finish.
Named for the notorious fire ships Drake unleashed in darkness upon an unsuspecting Spanish Armada that led to the dispersion, defeat and ultimate destruction of the “Great and Most Fortunate Navy”.

Man O' War Tulia Sparkling Blanc de Blanc

2017 Vintage Tulia carries an intensity of aroma lifted out of the glass by a heady bead, savoury and toasty along with ripe stone fruit and citrus characters support a delicious backbone of natural acidity and fruit tannin. No sugar was added at dosage so Tulia 2017 is extra brut in style with richness from the barrel fermentation and savouriness from the wild full solid fermentation. Kiwi Bolly baby.
